Attendance
The Ridge Junior School is committed to ensuring that its pupils receive their full entitlement to an education. A child has a right to be in school for 190 days. High levels of attendance contribute significantly to pupil’s learning and are of fundamental importance to a child’s life chances. There is a clear link between high levels of attendance and success in school.
Each week, we celebrate the two classes with the highest attendance in the school, letting them look after the precious 'Frequent Fox' and 'Ever-present Pig' for the week.
For enquiries regarding attendance and any leave of absences, please contact the office for the correct form. This will be reviewed by the school and you will receive confirmation of whether this absence has been authorised or unauthorised. As a school, we do apply for penalty notices for those that meet the threshold for unauthorised holidays.
