Snow Day Activities

If the school has to shut for extreme weather (snow for example) or other unforeseen reasons, the children can continue their learning by ;
Practising times tables and number facts
Reading
Writing an account of their day
Completing any set home learning tasks
Revise previous spelling lists

If we are enduring snow, they may also like to try some of the following activities;

Make symmetrical snowflake patterns by folding and cutting paper
Measure how far they can throw a snow ball
Time how long it takes for a 'snowperson' to melt to a particular size
Watch 'Newsround' and write a report about the weather
