Welcome to our Thrive area
Thrive at the Ridge Junior School
Thrive is part of our everyday practice and all children in the school will benefit from Thrive in some way. We are proud of our Thrive provision and the range of ways that it can impact different children and their needs.
Our thrive programme is overseen in school by Mrs B Furber, our fully trained Thrive practitioner and Miss L Evans, our SENCo and Inclusion Lead.
The ethos and values of Thrive are a thread which run through all of our social, emotional and behavioural interventions as well as our specific Thrive action plans. All pupils are screened multiple times a year and this assessment is used to identify what level of Thrive support would be most beneficial for pupils.
Interventions and Thrive action plans are reviewed so provision is likely to change based on individual needs as well as the needs across the school.

Why not try this easy Playdough Recipe
- 1 cup of plain flour
- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of salt
- 2 teaspoons of cream of Tartar
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Food colouring if desired
Mix everything together to form a smooth paste. Put in a saucepan and cook slowly, until the dough comes away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball. When cool enough, remove from the pan and knead for a few minutes to make it pliable.
Put the pan to soak immediately.
